First of all, thanks for taking the
time to read my blog.
It chronicles my two years
with the AmeriCorps*VISTA program—my first year serving at a boys’ home in
Spartanburg, SC and my second year as a VISTA Leader in Charleston. Currently, I am back in Sweet Home Alabama and enjoy finding ways to continue serving the community here. I have been
blessed in so many ways and absolutely love what I’m doing.
As you read this
blog, I hope my experiences allow you to further understand the plight of low-income
populations and that you are encouraged to take action in your own community.
